TYPE HR I/H – THICK-WALLED FOR HIGH PRESSURES
Description
Metal corrugated hose with standard pitch made of butt-welded pipe. The hose can be configured with one or two stainless steel wire braidings.
Design
1.4541, 1.4404 Hasteloy, Monell, other materials available on request
Main application
Extraction of all media within a wide temperature range.
Installation: static or for cyclic movement with weak amplitude.
The hose, which is completely type owing to its design, is suitable for numerous applications in the following industries: chemicals, petrochemicals, refrigeration, nuclear, and thermal technology etc. Torsion must always be avoided.
Pressure
The table contains the following pressure values:
Pr = Burst pressure under "normal" conditions (hose straight and non-moving, inner pressure hydrostatic, temperature + 20 °C).
Pn = Nominal pressure = Highest operating pressure in compliance with EN 10380 under "normal" conditions
Practical rule: Ps = Pn ·
Ps = Highest operating pressure under operating conditions
Kt = Correction factor for temperature
Ks = Safety factor, depending on application conditions
All hose lines are tested according to the requirements of DIN EN ISO 10380.
The test pressure is 1.5 times the operating pressure converted to20 °C.
Bending
Bending radius = Roll-up radius +
The table contains values for:
Rs = Theoretic static minimum bending radius (hose non-moving)
Rd = Theoretic dynamic minimum bending radius (repeat bending)
The theoretic values are allowed under weak pressure and for temperatures between - 30 °C and + 150 °C.
Practical rule:
- for – 30 °C < t < + 150 °C with operating pressure Pu
bending radius = Rs (or Rd) · - for t < - 30 °C or t > + 150 °C, regardless of which Pu
bending radius = Rs (or Rd) · 1,5
Temperature
Optimum resistance between - 269 °C (liquid helium) to + 550 °C, taking the above information into account.
